Sarah Leiser is a first year PhD student. She received her BA in Communication (Marketing and PR) from Richmond, the American International University in London in 2016 and her MA in
Media and Public Communication from the University of Denver in 2018. Her research interests include Popular Culture, Fandom Studies, New Media Technologies and Gender and Media
Law. This semester she will be presenting original research on fandoms on Tumblr at Southwestern Popular and America Culture Association Conference in Albuquerque and Popular
Culture Association Conference in Washington, D.C. Upon completion of this program she hopes to continue teaching, writing, and researching.
