Abi Leveille is a doctoral student and teaching assistant in the Department of Communication at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received a Master of Arts in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago in 2020, where her thesis focused on the improvised performance of role-playing games to digital audiences during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. She holds a BA in Theatre with a double minor in psychology and neuroscience from Lawrence University. Her current research interests include new media, performance, and identity in online spaces.
